US Orders Anthropic to Block Foreign Access to New AI Models
The U.S. government has ordered AI company Anthropic to block foreign nationals, including those working in the U.S., from accessing new AI models Fable 5 and Mythos 5 over national security worries. Anthropic complied but criticized the move, saying it received no detailed explanation and noting rival AI models have similar capabilities.
