Former ekiden star Shimazu shifts to para athletics, targets Asian Para Games gold
Yudai Shimazu, once a Hakone Ekiden stage winner, has moved into para athletics after an eye condition ended his able-bodied running career and now targets gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games. The Games, Asia's major disability sports event, are set to open on Oct. 18 after an earlier torch relay start.
