Trump administration scraps $1.8 billion 'anti-weaponization' fund
The U.S. Department of Justice under President Donald Trump has abandoned a nearly $1.8 billion fund established to compensate alleged victims of politically motivated prosecutions, amid bipartisan backlash and legal setbacks. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the decision Tuesday, but the underlying agreement protecting Trump's tax records remains intact.
