US Judge Allows Use of Huawei CFO’s Admission in Criminal Trial
A US federal judge has ruled that Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou’s admission of illegal business conduct in Iran can be used as evidence in the upcoming criminal trial against the company. The judge found that Huawei had no right to silence despite Meng’s statement and that the corporation need not cross-examine her. The ruling emerged Tuesday in Brooklyn federal court.
