EU prosecutor office investigates fatal train crash in Spain
EU public prosecutors are investigating possible fraud in EU funding for Spain's Madrid-Seville high-speed rail line after a crash in Urda, Toledo, killed at least 69 people last month. The European Public Prosecutor's Office carried out investigative measures at rail infrastructure manager Adif, the state rail safety agency AESF and the Court of Auditors. The crash, Spain's second fatal high-speed accident this year, has prompted the resignations of Transport Minister Oscar Puente and Adif President Luis Pedro Marco de la Pena.
