Qatar and France Call for Freedom of Navigation in Strait of Hormuz and Gaza Ceasefire Enforcement
Qatar and France urged restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz "without constraints or tolls" and called for enforcing the Gaza ceasefire, including an Israeli withdrawal in line with agreed arrangements and unimpeded humanitarian aid. In a joint statement after talks in Doha between Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President Emmanuel Macron, the two sides also condemned Iran's military attacks on regional countries, opposed West Bank annexation and backed full implementation of the Lebanon framework agreement.
