Yoshinobu Yamamoto couldn't last long on the mound Monday, and the Los Angeles Dodgers paid the price as the Milwaukee Brewers beat them 7-4 to take a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series.
It was the Dodgers' second straight loss in the series that decides a World Series berth, putting the blue-clad club in a tough spot as the matchup shifts to their home ballpark.
With Yamamoto forced out early, manager Dave Roberts' team had to lean on its bullpen, but couldn't stop the Brewers from padding their lead on the scoreboard.
The Brewers now lead 2-0 in the seven-game series and need just two more wins to clinch a World Series berth.
