Yamaha Motor Says Data of About 1,600 Website Members May Have Leaked After Cyberattack

According to Yamaha Motor's announcement, the incident involved a server operated by a third party, and the company is working with the contractor to verify the scope of the impact and whether information may have been stolen.

The company said the number of affected members is estimated at about 1,600, but did not provide details on the types of data that may have been exposed.

The disclosure comes as Japanese companies increasingly face the risk of cyberattacks targeting the systems of partners and service providers.

Yamaha Motor said it is continuing to investigate and will take appropriate measures, including notifying those affected if necessary.
