Ukraine drone strike on Russia's Smolensk region injures two adults, one child

Debris from a Ukrainian drone struck an apartment building in Russia's Smolensk region, injuring two adults and a child, local authorities said. Russian forces claimed to have shot down 21 drones overall.
On May 3, Smolensk region Governor Vasily Anokhin reported that debris from a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hit an apartment building in the area, injuring two adults and one child.
According to Anokhin, Russian Defense Ministry air defense and electronic warfare units, together with the Russian Aerospace Forces, jammed and shot down a total of 21 Ukrainian UAVs over Smolensk region. However, debris from the drones fell and damaged an apartment building, causing civilian injuries.
The governor added that one of the injured adults, a man, was taken to hospital, while a woman and her child received outpatient care.
