Two additional tankers described as "offending" caught fire east of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iran's state news agency IRNA. The report did not immediately specify the vessels' identities, national flags, or the cause of the blazes, and no casualty figures were given. The incident adds to mounting tension around the strategic waterway through which a large share of global seaborne oil passes.
