The Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, issued a stern warning on June 25 that any hostile act against Iran would be met with 'retribution' from Tehran.
Speaking at a military event, General Salami emphasized: 'Any hostile act against Iran, even the smallest, will face an appropriate and painful response.' He affirmed that Iran's armed forces are 'at their highest level of readiness' to defend the country against all threats.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and regional and international adversaries. Tehran has repeatedly accused foreign nations of interfering in its internal affairs and conducting sabotage operations targeting its nuclear and military facilities.
General Salami also stated that Western sanctions and pressure would not weaken the will of the Iranian people, declaring that Tehran would continue its defense development path despite external obstacles.
This is one of the latest tough statements from Iranian military officials, reflecting Tehran's steadfast posture in confronting current security challenges.
