Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 24, beginning a state visit at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in trade, energy, and transportation. Iran and Kyrgyzstan have made progress in regional cooperation, including infrastructure connectivity projects and energy exchanges.
According to the agenda, the two leaders will hold official talks focused on expanding cooperation within international organizations, as well as discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest. Several cooperation documents are expected to be signed during the visit.
The visit comes as Iran intensifies its engagement with Central Asian nations to diversify its foreign relations and enhance Tehran's role in the region.
