Speaking at an event related to consumer protection, Iran's president called for cooperation among the government, businesses and society to safeguard buyers' rights. He stressed that consumer protection is not solely the task of regulatory bodies but a shared responsibility of the whole society.
According to the president, regulatory agencies need to step up market oversight and deal strictly with commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, substandard products and opaque pricing. At the same time, businesses need to raise their ethical standards, provide clear product information and ensure the quality of goods and services.
He also touched on the role of consumers in actively seeking information, choosing safe products and promptly reporting violations. In his view, public participation is a key factor in making the market healthier and more transparent.
With Iran facing multiple economic difficulties, consumer protection is seen as one of the priorities for maintaining social stability and shoring up confidence in the market. The president called on relevant ministries and agencies to coordinate closely and report regularly on the results of consumer protection measures.
Concluding his remarks, he affirmed the government's commitment to creating a fair and safe consumption environment, while expressing hope for support from social organizations and the public.
