Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday called on the Iranian people to unite under the banner of justice, describing it as the foundation for resisting all forms of foreign exploitation and interference. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, he stressed that only internal cohesion and a spirit of righteousness could help the country overcome international pressures.
According to Iranian media, Pezeshkian pointed out that amid Western sanctions and political pressure, maintaining consensus among social strata and political forces is a matter of survival. He also reaffirmed that his administration would resolutely protect national sovereignty and interests against external manipulation schemes.
The remarks come as Iran faces multiple economic and security challenges, alongside complex developments in its relations with major powers. Analysts suggest that Pezeshkian's appeal aims to consolidate national unity domestically, giving Tehran a stronger position at international negotiation tables.
Earlier, Pezeshkian had repeatedly emphasized Iran's balanced foreign policy, cooperating with neighboring and Asian countries while maintaining a firm stance on key issues such as the nuclear program. Observers believe the latest statement continues to demonstrate the new government's priority on internal stability and mitigating the impact of external shocks.
