According to the IRNA news agency, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with newly appointed ambassadors at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in the capital, Tehran, on June 24, ahead of their departure to take up posts abroad.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Pezeshkian stressed that the ambassadors must convey Iran's message of peace and friendship to the countries where they will serve. He also said that strengthening ties with neighboring, regional and international countries is a priority for the Tehran government.
He asserted that the ambassadors must serve as a bridge in expanding cooperation across many fields, while also helping to protect national interests and raise Iran's standing on the international stage.
During the meeting, President Pezeshkian also noted that the ambassadors need to grasp conditions in their host countries and take the initiative in promoting economic and cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, as well as supporting Iranian communities abroad.
He said Iran is ready for dialogue and cooperation with all countries on the basis of mutual respect, for the sake of peace and regional stability.
