Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday sent sincere condolences to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the people of Venezuela following a catastrophic plane crash in the South American nation.
In a telegram, Mr. Pezeshkian expressed profound sorrow over the incident, which left at least ten dead and many injured. The Iranian leader stressed the strong bonds of solidarity and friendship between the two countries and offered words of encouragement to the victims' families.
"Iran always stands by the people of Venezuela in difficult times," President Pezeshkian wrote in the message, affirming Tehran’s readiness to help Caracas overcome the tragedy’s aftermath.
The crash occurred in Amazonas state, southern Venezuela, when a passenger plane encountered problems during landing. Early reports attribute the cause to bad weather and technical failure. Venezuelan authorities are cooperating in the investigation to clarify the incident.
