A newly released report reveals that the total number of US soldiers wounded in military confrontations with Iran has risen to 653. The figure comes amid continued escalation of tensions between the two nations across various parts of the Middle East.
The report highlights significant casualties among US forces since direct and indirect clashes with Iran began. Earlier statistics recorded lower numbers, but attacks involving missiles, drones, and other forms of warfare have steadily increased the count of wounded soldiers.
US military officials stated that most casualties resulted from rocket and drone attacks on American bases in Iraq and Syria, where Iran holds considerable influence through proxy forces. The wounded soldiers primarily suffered shrapnel injuries, burns, and blast-related trauma.
The report also emphasizes that while the number of wounded continues to rise, the death toll among US soldiers in these confrontations remains low, thanks to defensive measures and timely medical evacuations.
