According to a statement from the Office of the Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Berri expressed a desire to strengthen bilateral relations while reaffirming Lebanon's stance on regional issues. Iran expressed support for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
This is not the first recent meeting between Iranian and Lebanese officials, reflecting increasingly close coordination between the two sides in the face of shared challenges in the Middle East.
