Israeli military raids and settler attacks in the West Bank have left at least 19 Palestinians wounded, according to Palestinian health officials and local media reports.
The Jerusalem governorate said on Saturday that Israeli forces fired at and wounded three Palestinians as they attempted to enter East Jerusalem near the separation barrier in the ar-Ram area. The incident was described as part of near-daily attacks on Palestinian workers who have been barred from working in Israel since the military operation in Gaza began in October 2023.
In the northern West Bank province of Tubas, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said medics treated at least 11 Palestinians, including four children, for tear gas inhalation during Israeli military raids.
According to the Wafa news agency, in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, an elderly man was beaten by armed settlers. Israeli forces later raided his home, vandalized property, and confiscated the family's phones.
The Palestinian Red Crescent also reported that two young men were hospitalized after being beaten by Israeli settlers in Arrabeh, south of Jenin. A 15-year-old boy also was hospitalized after being severely assaulted by settlers in Tammun, Tubas province, where another child was injured in a settler attack.
In separate incidents on Friday, Israeli forces and settlers killed two Palestinians in Hebron and Jenin.
Meanwhile, in Qusra, south of Nablus, the Hassan and Abu Rida families have been besieged inside their homes for 14 consecutive days by settlers, while Israeli forces maintain a closed military zone around the area. Residents accuse the military of inaction, effectively enabling the possible forced displacement of these families.
The Palestinian Committee Against Settlements and the Separation Wall said the number of Israeli settlers is now about 780,000 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, living in 192 settlements and 400 outposts, covering 71% of Area C and 91% of the Jordan Valley.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs recorded more than 1,330 settler-related attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank from January to the end of July, averaging about six per day—the fastest rate since the agency began systematic tracking two decades ago.
According to UN data, more than 2,300 Palestinians have been forced from their homes since the beginning of the year due to settler violence or associated restrictions. Additionally, a UN-appointed investigation committee found that Israeli authorities have consistently failed to prevent foreseeable settler attacks and, in some cases, have directly facilitated them through military protection as well as the provision of weapons and funding.
