Iran's official news agency reported that a spokesman for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces declared the military will continue to defend the ideals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The statement comes amid growing tensions across the Middle East.
According to the report, Iran's army affirmed it will maintain a high state of combat readiness while steadily developing its defense capabilities to counter any external threats. The spokesman emphasized: “We will resolutely defend the independence, territorial integrity, and values of the revolution at any cost.”
Iran's armed forces also pledged close cooperation with security and intelligence agencies to safeguard national security. The declaration is seen as a response to recent developments concerning its nuclear program and foreign military drills in the Persian Gulf.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces further called on the public to unite in support of defense policies, describing this as a sacred duty to preserve the revolution's achievements. The move comes as Tehran intensifies both military and diplomatic activities to assert its standing on the international stage.
