Ohtani Hits First Postseason Home Run but Dodgers Swept Out of NLCS

Shohei Ohtani hit his first postseason home run, but it was not enough to save the Los Angeles Dodgers from elimination in the National League Championship Series. His team lost 6-4 to the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday, suffering a fourth consecutive defeat and officially bowing out.

It was the first time Ohtani had homered in the playoffs, a notable personal milestone that could not turn the tide of the series. The Dodgers dropped four straight games to the Brewers, ending their run at a place in the World Series.

The 6-4 loss in Game 4 closed out the Dodgers' NLCS campaign, while the Brewers advanced on an impressive run of form against one of the most highly regarded teams in the league.
