Green Bay Packers star Josh Jacobs was arrested Tuesday on five charges, including three domestic violence counts, and booked into the Brown County Jail in Green Bay, according to the Hobart/Lawrence (Wisconsin) Police Department.
Jacobs, 28, faces domestic violence charges of battery, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct, along with threats to the victim and strangulation/suffocation — a serious felony.
On Saturday at 8:37 a.m., Hobart-Lawrence police were dispatched to a call involving Jacobs.
“This is an ongoing investigation with many details. We will not provide further information at this time,” Hobart-Lawrence Police Chief Michael Renkas said in a statement.
Jacobs denied the allegations through his attorneys.
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with significant evidence not yet released,” attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac said in a statement. “We ask for fairness and restraint as the judicial process unfolds.”
The National Football League (NFL) told The Athletic it has been in contact with the Packers, who acknowledged awareness but said they would “not provide further comment” given the “ongoing legal situation.”
Entering his third season with the Packers after signing a four-year, $48 million free-agent contract in 2024, Jacobs is a three-time Pro Bowl selection (2020, 2022, 2024) and was named All-Pro in 2022 when he led the NFL in rushing yards with the Las Vegas Raiders. Over seven NFL seasons, he has rushed for 7,803 yards on 1,840 carries with 74 touchdowns.
