China, Russia, and India agreed to uphold the regional security and economic architecture in the Asia-Pacific after their 15th trilateral foreign ministers' meeting. The joint statement highlighted consensus on regional and global issues amid rising geopolitical tensions.
On March 24, the 15th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of China, Russia, and India took place in China. After the meeting, the three countries issued a joint statement emphasizing their commitment to maintaining the regional security and economic architecture in the Asia-Pacific region.
The joint statement reflects consensus among the three major powers on regional and global issues, especially amid heightened geopolitical competition. The meeting was held in person, with the participation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
This is an annual meeting under the China-Russia-India trilateral cooperation mechanism, aimed at promoting dialogue and policy coordination among the three countries across various fields, from security and trade to global issues.
