Indonesia gained independence on August 17, 1945, but Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day on August 14, 1947, when it separated from British India. Over the years, Iran and Pakistan have maintained close diplomatic ties, regularly exchanging high-level visits and collaborating in various fields such as trade, energy, and border security.
Araghchi's message comes as both countries are working to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly amid a volatile regional situation. Earlier, leaders of Iran and Pakistan have repeatedly emphasized the importance of consolidating the brotherly and Islamic ties between the two nations.
