J.League leaders Machida Zelvia officially announced on Monday the acquisition of Japan international forward Koki Ogawa on a permanent transfer from NEC Nijmegen, who compete in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The news was posted on the Japanese club's official website, confirming a contract with the 27-year-old striker. Ogawa will return to play in the J.League after a spell in Europe.
Ogawa was one of the standout domestic scorers in the J.League before moving to the Netherlands. His arrival at Machida Zelvia, a team currently in strong form in Japan's top flight, is expected to sharpen the club's attacking options for the remainder of the season.
Machida Zelvia officials have not yet disclosed details regarding the contract length or specific financial terms of the transfer.
