Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon on May 2 killed at least five civilians and wounded nine others, with rescue operations ongoing. The attacks hit more than 10 villages, destroying an apartment building and striking a vehicle with a drone.
On May 2, Israeli airstrikes and shelling targeted southern Lebanon, causing significant casualties. According to a local emergency center report, at least five Lebanese civilians were killed and nine others wounded.
The report stated: “Enemy aircraft attacked more than 10 villages in the Tyre and Nabatieh areas this morning. An apartment building in El Breiza was destroyed, killing three people. Two others died from injuries in Kfar Dajjal when their vehicle was struck by a drone.”
Local authorities warned that the death toll could rise as rescue crews continue clearing debris. There has been no official comment from Israel on the incident.
