At least five people were killed while attending a wedding in Gaza City after Israeli forces bombed a wedding tent. The incident occurred on Saturday, according to Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud, reporting from the area.
Mahmoud said multiple shells exploded inside or near the wedding tents, sending shrapnel flying. A source at al-Shifa Hospital reported more than a dozen people were wounded in the attack.
Women and children are believed to be among the victims, and the death toll is expected to rise, Mahmoud said.
No official comment has yet come from Israel regarding the incident.
