According to local sources, an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip killed a senior commander of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement.
The incident occurred when Israeli fighter jets dropped bombs on a target in the northern Gaza Strip. Witnesses said the attack completely destroyed a building and caused multiple casualties.
The Al Qassam Brigades later confirmed the information, stating that the slain commander was a key figure in their military operations. Israel has not yet issued an official comment on the matter.
