Iran and Uzbekistan Discuss Boosting Bilateral Ties and Regional Situation

Senior officials from Iran and Uzbekistan held talks in Tehran to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, and energy, as well as regional developments including Afghanistan and Central Asian security. Both sides appreciated the recent positive progress in bilateral relations and agreed to promote joint projects to bring practical benefits to the people of the two countries. In particular, officials stressed the importance of expanding transportation and logistics connectivity between Iran and Uzbekistan.
The meeting also discussed regional developments, including the situation in Afghanistan and security issues in Central Asia. The two sides shared common views on strengthening regional cooperation, promoting stability, and sustainable development.
