Iran Stresses Need to Implement Agreements With Azerbaijan

According to Iranian officials, Tehran has emphasized the need to ensure that agreements reached with Azerbaijan are carried out. The move comes as the two countries continue to maintain bilateral channels of communication.

Iran says joint commitments should be translated into practical action rather than remaining declarations alone. Advancing the implementation of agreements is seen as an important factor in sustaining the momentum of cooperation and stability in relations between the two sides.

The two countries share a border and cooperate in a range of areas, including transport, trade and energy projects. These topics are regularly raised in bilateral contacts.

There is no detailed information so far about the specific agreements mentioned this time, nor about the next steps for implementation. Observers continue to watch for further moves between Iran and Azerbaijan.
