Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to draft a balanced resolution on Yemen during a session of the body convened to discuss the crisis in the Middle Eastern country, according to Iranian media.

Addressing the meeting, Araghchi stressed the need for a document that reflects the reality of the situation in Yemen and takes into account the views of all parties involved, rather than favoring one side.

The Iranian foreign minister also touched on diplomatic efforts to ease regional tensions, urging OIC member states to promote dialogue and political solutions for Yemen.

Araghchi's proposal comes as OIC member countries continue to hold differing views on how to handle the conflict in Yemen, with work on drafting the resolution still under way.
