Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei stated that international legal provisions must be applied to arrest and prosecute criminals from the Israeli regime, according to remarks made on an unspecified date.
The statement comes amid continued international condemnation of military operations and human rights violations in Palestinian territories. Baqaei stressed that the inaction of individuals and international organizations has allowed Israel to continue exceeding permissible boundaries.
The Iranian diplomat called on international legal mechanisms, particularly the International Criminal Court (ICC), to investigate and prosecute criminal acts, describing this as both a legal and moral obligation. He also pointed out that the failure to enforce justice would set a dangerous precedent for future violations.
Baqaei's remarks were made as negotiations and international pressure regarding the conflict in the Gaza Strip remain unresolved. Iran has repeatedly voiced support for Palestinian rights and urged the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel.
As of now, the Israeli government has not issued an official response to this statement.
