Iran's wrestling team concluded the World Pahlavani Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, securing the runner-up position in the team standings, behind only the host nation Azerbaijan, which claimed the title.
According to the Iran Wrestling Federation, Iranian wrestlers collected a total of 3 gold medals, 1 silver, and 2 bronze. The gold medalists were Amir Hossein Zare (125 kg), Mohammad Hossein Mohammadi (74 kg), and Amir Ali Azarpira (90 kg).
In other weight classes, Mohammad Javad Ebrahimi took silver in the 65 kg division, while Hadi Vafaei (57 kg) and Hassan Yazdani (79 kg) each earned bronze medals.
