In a statement in Spanish posted on the Iranian Foreign Ministry's website, Baghaei emphasized Tehran's goodwill in continuing cooperation with regional countries to respond to natural disasters, while expressing hope that Colombia would soon overcome this difficult period.
Neighboring countries and international organizations also quickly sent condolence messages to the Bogota government, showing regional solidarity in the face of sudden natural events.
