Inter Milan have announced the official signing of English full-back Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year contract. According to British media, the reigning Serie A champions have paid around £30 million ($40.59 million) for the transfer.
In a statement released on Saturday, the club confirmed: “The English defender, born in 2000, joins the Nerazzurri from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent transfer. Spence has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2031.”
Spence leaves North London after four years, during which he made 85 appearances and won the Europa League. Before establishing himself at Spurs, the 26-year-old had loan spells at Rennes, Leeds United, and Genoa due to limited first-team opportunities.
Internationally, Spence was part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad at the 2026 World Cup, featuring in eight matches, including the third-place playoff victory over France.
At Inter Milan, Spence will reunite with English centre-back John Stones, who recently joined from Manchester City on a two-year deal.
