Japan's H.I.S. Warns of Possible Customer Passport Data Leak

H.I.S. Co., one of Japan's major travel agencies, said Wednesday that passport information for up to 627 customers may have leaked late last year.

According to the company, the affected data relates to unauthorized access to a server at its subsidiary in Thailand.

H.I.S. said it is continuing to investigate the scope and cause of the incident and is implementing measures to prevent similar risks in the future.
