During a meeting with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing on September 24, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf declared that the strategic partnership between Tehran and Beijing is part of Iran's independent foreign policy and is not subject to influence or permission from any other country.
Speaking at the talks with Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Ghalibaf emphasized the importance of promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two nations in the economic, trade, and energy sectors. He noted that such cooperation not only benefits the people of both countries but also contributes to the region's overall stability and development.
For his part, Wang Huning affirmed that China values its relations with Iran, is ready to implement agreements reached between senior leaders of both countries, and will enhance cooperation within the framework of regional and international initiatives. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and agreed to continue coordination in multilateral forums to protect shared interests and promote peace and fairness in international relations.
