Spain forward Ferran Torres, who scored the only goal in last month's World Cup final, has signed for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) from Barcelona.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract until 2031 with the Ligue 1 champions, the club announced on Saturday.
"Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the signing of Ferran Torres. The Spanish World Cup-winning forward has committed to the club until 2031," the club statement said.
Torres said he was "very happy to start a new journey at an ambitious club like Paris Saint-Germain" and thanked President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, football advisor Luis Campos, and coach Luis Enrique for the opportunity to join, adding he hopes to help the team win as many titles as possible.
Torres previously worked under coach Luis Enrique, who handed him his Spain debut in a Nations League match against Germany in 2020. The former Valencia and Manchester City player has earned 65 international caps.
Torres, who won three La Liga titles during his time at Barcelona, came off the bench in the World Cup final and scored in extra time to dash Argentina's hopes of retaining the title.
Nicknamed "The Shark," Torres joined Barcelona during the 2021/22 season and scored 65 goals in 207 appearances for the Catalan club, including a goal in the 2025 Copa del Rey final win over Real Madrid. In the most recent season, he scored 21 goals and provided 3 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions, helping Barcelona successfully defend their La Liga title.

Torres' arrival in the French capital could boost Liverpool's hopes of signing PSG's 23-year-old winger Bradley Barcola, who impressed at the World Cup with France. The two clubs have been in talks for weeks, but PSG's asking price of around €150 million ($173 million) remains a hurdle.
