Iran's national team secured a total of 8 medals at this year's International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), including gold, silver, and bronze honors. This achievement further cements Iran's standing in the international earth science community.
According to Iranian officials, the team excelled in both theoretical and practical segments, particularly in geology, meteorology, and oceanography. The medal haul ranks among the best results Iran has ever achieved in this competition.
The IESO is one of the most prestigious competitions for high school students, drawing participation from dozens of countries worldwide. Iran's performance not only brings national pride but also serves as an impetus to strengthen earth science education domestically.
IESO organizers praised the thorough preparation and fair play demonstrated by the Iranian contestants. The outcome is expected to inspire young Iranians to pursue natural sciences, contributing to the country's sustainable development.
