A number of Iranian companies have confirmed their participation in Automobility 2026 – an event bringing together the world's leading automotive brands and suppliers – with a focus on trade, exchange of car parts and accessories.
This is the first time a group of Iranian firms has had a significant presence at this event, with a pavilion showcasing spare parts such as brake systems, clutches, oil filters, electronic equipment, and some engine components. The companies expect to seize the opportunity to reach partners from the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Europe.
Notably, many Iranian parts manufacturers have already obtained compatibility certifications according to the technical standards of major carmakers, facilitating export expansion. However, logistics and international payment barriers remain the main challenges cited by participating entities.
Iran's increased attendance at international auto fairs is seen by analysts as an effort to diversify export markets, alongside traditional goods such as petrochemicals and agricultural products. At the same time, this contributes to developing the domestic supporting industry toward higher quality and deeper integration into global supply chains.
