Turkish Ambassador to Iran Hakan Kılıç held a farewell meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Tehran on May 14.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional issues of mutual concern. Ambassador Kılıç expressed gratitude for the support of Iran's Foreign Ministry throughout his tenure and emphasized the importance of continuing to promote cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, and cultural fields.
For his part, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian appreciated Ambassador Kılıç's contributions to strengthening bilateral ties and expressed hope that cooperation between Iran and Turkey will continue to grow robustly in the coming period.
Turkey and Iran are neighboring countries with deep historical and cultural ties. Recently, the two sides have actively coordinated on regional issues, including peace in Syria, stability in Iraq, and economic cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
