Speaking to reporters, Iran's ambassador to the United Nations said Israel will face further attacks, warning that more "storms" lie ahead. The statement came as tensions between Iran and Israel continue to escalate following recent strikes.
The official also stressed that Iran is not seeking to widen the conflict in the region, while asserting that Tehran has the right to retaliate against actions taken against it.
Earlier, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli territory. Israel said it intercepted most of the targets and warned there would be a response.
Analysts say Iran's latest warning signals the risk of a prolonged conflict, while the parties involved have yet to make any progress toward de-escalation.
A United Nations spokesperson called on all sides to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any action that could push the region into a new cycle of confrontation.
