SEOUL — Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of luxury conglomerate LVMH, arrived in South Korea on Monday (May 9) to visit the Louis Vuitton store at Shinsegae department store in the capital Seoul. This is the French billionaire’s first trip to the East Asian nation in three years.
The visit comes as the global luxury industry stages a strong post-pandemic recovery, and South Korea is seen as one of the most vibrant high-end consumer markets in Asia. Arnault, ranked as the world’s richest person by several indices, took time to review business operations and meet with local partners.
