On April 2, during a periodic session, the chairman of Iran's Expediency Council delivered a speech underscoring the critical importance of safeguarding national unity and cohesion in the current period.
Speaking at the meeting, he called on political and social forces as well as citizens to uphold a sense of responsibility, prioritize national interests above all, and avoid disagreements that could undermine overall stability. He stressed that all major decisions of the country should be made based on broad consensus and the long-term interests of the nation.
According to him, internal division not only weakens national strength but also creates opportunities for hostile forces to exploit. Therefore, maintaining unity and mutual respect among all segments of society is an urgent requirement and a foundation for overcoming all difficulties and challenges.
The Expediency Council chairman also urged relevant authorities to enhance dialogue, listen to input from various sides, and promptly resolve emerging issues, thereby reinforcing public trust. He affirmed that only through collective effort and solidarity can the country achieve sustainable development and remain resilient amidst regional and international developments.
