Pezeshkian Administration Steps Up Cultural Diplomacy

The administration of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is intensifying cultural diplomacy efforts as part of a broader foreign policy strategy to bolster its international standing and promote mutual understanding among cultures.

Iranian officials said that enhancing cultural diplomacy not only helps project the country's image but also facilitates dialogue and cooperation in education, the arts, and people-to-people exchanges. The move is seen as an effort to diversify diplomatic channels, complementing traditional political and economic avenues.

Amid volatile international relations, a focus on cultural diplomacy is viewed as a soft approach that allows Iran to expand ties, reduce tensions, and build trust with the international community. Planned activities include cultural events, art exhibitions, film weeks, and academic exchange programs.

Analysts note that the Pezeshkian administration is seeking to leverage the soft power of Iran's culture, known for its historical depth and diversity, to serve foreign policy goals in the new era.
