Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, manager Michael Carrick said Manchester United had "moved on" from Lisandro Martinez's headline-grabbing comments aimed at the club's hierarchy this week, insisting it was "really not a drama for us as a group."
The Argentine defender had criticised the board of the struggling club after Tuesday's 0-2 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid, arguing that Carrick had been forced to work with a squad short on depth.
The centre-back also took aim at technical director Jason Wilcox, saying he "100%" expected the club to invest more in the summer transfer window after United finished third in the Premier League last season.
Martinez is understood to have been fined over the remarks, but Carrick confirmed he would still be part of the United squad for Sunday's Premier League trip to Leeds.
"It's done and dusted, really," Carrick said when asked about Martinez's comments and the subsequent apology and punishment.
"We've parked that," he added. "It was one of those stories that happened. He spoke and acknowledged the situation, and as a group we've moved on.
"It's really not a drama for us as a group. The players have trained really well; there's a really positive feeling around training this morning."
Martinez apologises, but Keane calls Man Utd a 'circus'
Martinez, 28, issued an apology on Thursday, saying he had held positive talks with the club's hierarchy and Carrick.
"Everyone knows I'm a passionate person and I live football with high intensity," he wrote in an Instagram post.
"The frustration after the defeat made me express my feelings at a time and place that perhaps weren't right, and for that I want to apologise."
Former United captain Roy Keane described the situation at his old club as "a bit of a circus."
United travel to Elland Road, the home of one of their fiercest rivals, with just two wins from nine games in all competitions this season.
The team sits 13th in the Premier League, with one win in six matches, and drew 1-1 in their most recent outing against Tottenham despite the opponents being reduced to 10 men.
