As digital infrastructure plays an increasingly critical role in socio-economic development, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has made ensuring the stable, continuous, and sustainable operation of telecom infrastructure a top priority.
This effort goes beyond maintaining existing networks, aiming to enhance resilience against incidents, natural disasters, and climate change. Sustainable infrastructure is considered a vital foundation for advancing national digital transformation, developing e-government, and fostering a digital economy and society.
To achieve this goal, the MIC will continue to refine institutions and policies, promote the application of science and technology, and upgrade infrastructure and equipment toward modernization and synchronization. Telecom enterprises are also required to proactively develop response plans and scenarios to ensure uninterrupted communication in all circumstances.
Experts assess that prioritizing sustainable infrastructure from the early stages of digital transformation is a correct direction, creating a solid foundation for the long-term development of the information and communications sector and the entire digital economy in Vietnam.
