Small-Scale Protest in Bangkok Amid IMF-World Bank Meetings

Dozens of people marched in Bangkok on Thursday to draw the attention of world financial leaders gathered for the International Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings, according to KYODO NEWS.

Participants raised issues including poverty, pollution and other grievances, among them concerns over growing inequality.

The march was modest in scale but reflected social concerns being raised by activist groups as the meetings of the world's two largest multilateral financial institutions are held in the Thai capital.
