Bahrain's Interior Ministry announced the arrest of individuals allegedly linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), with some facing espionage charges. The move follows a late April decision to strip citizenship from 69 people accused of backing Iranian attacks.

Bahrain's Interior Ministry said on May 5 that authorities had arrested several individuals accused of having “close ties” with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Some of those detained face espionage-related charges.
The announcement follows Bahrain's decision late last month to revoke the citizenship of 69 individuals accused of supporting Iranian attacks against the kingdom.
According to Bahraini authorities, those affected had expressed support for Iran and “collaborated with foreign entities.”
