On January 5, in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi received Thailand's new ambassador and the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Iran, according to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting with the Thai ambassador, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. Araghchi stressed the importance of strengthening economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The Thai ambassador expressed a desire to promote multifaceted cooperation, especially in agriculture and tourism.
In the meeting with the UNDP representative, Araghchi praised UNDP's activities in Iran and proposed expanding cooperation in sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate change response. The UNDP representative committed to continuing support for Iran's development projects and sharing international expertise.
These meetings are part of Iran's regular diplomatic activities aimed at consolidating relations with countries and international organizations.
